about

A song about a person who is new to a city and struggles to find his/her place, the right kind of friends, the right music, the right atmosphere. The person's past is like a plague driving him/her to feel like they've been everywhere and done everything.

lyrics

Well I have been all night till nowhere's end looking for a scene to call my own, I never want to go home. You're there and I'm not here, I'm not on this planet like you. Attraction speaks so sexually but there has to be much more. If there is a gateway to somewhere beyond where I have been, then show me the way right now. If there is a gateway to somewhere where everything is clear, I'll take that road right now. Now when you see my face it's broken down and you think that I am gone, but there are mysteries so unexplored and I'd like to find out more. And when you see my eyes they're tainted black, insomnia has its reasons. Whatever looks so promising may soon prove its defect.
